Local media processing
The app processes footage, thumbnails, shot groups, model prompts and encoded files on your Mac. Our website and licensing backend do not receive this media. The included Qwen vision model runs locally. Your project files remain where you save them.
Website and downloads
Our devbox hosts the website and licensing service. Cloudflare provides DNS, TLS, security and the tunnel to the host. Requests necessarily transmit IP addresses and request metadata to Cloudflare and our server. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics pixels, third-party embeds or remotely hosted fonts. The application does not intentionally log request bodies, serials or payment data; operational infrastructure may retain security metadata.
Strictly necessary, secure first-party cookies preserve checkout ownership and a licence-management session after you use those functions. They expire after 24 hours and are not used for advertising. There is no optional tracking storage requiring a consent banner.
Purchasing
Stripe processes checkout and payment data as described in Stripe’s privacy notice. We receive the order identifier, quantity, payment status, email, company and billing records needed to fulfil your order and meet tax duties. Card details are handled by Stripe. Payment and order processing rely on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; tax and accounting obligations rely on Article 6(1)(c).
Activation and deactivation
Activation sends your serial, an app-specific hash derived from the Mac’s platform identifier, and the Mac name you choose. We use these to enforce the two-activation limit, provide deactivation and sign an offline receipt. We store serials encrypted and use keyed hashes for lookups. The device hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous. No footage, prompts or hardware serial number is transmitted. Licence processing relies on Article 6(1)(b).
A signed local receipt keeps eligible versions licensed offline. We cannot instantly revoke a receipt on an offline Mac. Deactivation releases a slot in our backend; deactivation in the app also removes its local receipt.
Retention and support
Licence and activation records are retained while needed to provide your perpetual licence and protect against misuse. Removed activations are deleted from the active-device table; minimal activation audit records remain for security and dispute handling. Unpaid checkout records and temporary sessions are removed after 30 days. Security-related processing is based on Article 6(1)(f), our legitimate interest in protecting the service. We retain invoice records for the applicable statutory period, generally eight years under German tax law, and other records as legally required. Support messages are retained as needed to resolve and document your request.
Service providers, transfers and rights
Cloudflare and Stripe may process data internationally, using their applicable contractual safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where required. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Stripe’s policy for provider details. We do not sell personal data.
Subject to GDPR requirements, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact our privacy address. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Deleting essential licence records can prevent future activation or recovery; statutory retention obligations may prevent immediate deletion.
