Terms & software licence
Version 2026-11-03. Seller: remoteroom GmbH

1. Business eligibility and contract
Shotlabel is sold only to entrepreneurs acting in their trade, business or profession within §14 BGB, legal entities and public bodies. Purchasers must be 18 or older and authorised to order. Consumer orders are not accepted. These terms apply to the downloadable app and its licence service.
The website describes the product. Your payment order is your offer; the contract is accepted when payment is confirmed and the serial is made available. You can review the final quantity, discount and applicable tax on Stripe Checkout before placing the binding payment order. Save these terms and your order confirmation.
2. Price and payment
The regular one-time price is US$29.99 per app licence, excluding applicable tax. The launch early-bird offer deducts 50%, with the final amount rounded to currency cents by Stripe. The checkout total controls your order. There is no automatic subscription or renewal charge. Payment is processed by Stripe.
3. Licence and activations
After payment you receive a non-exclusive, perpetual right to use eligible versions of Shotlabel for your own business work. Each purchased serial permits up to two simultaneously active Macs under your control. Do not share or resell a serial, run it as a hosted service for unrelated users, or exceed two active installations. Your statutory rights, including permitted interoperability and any mandatory software-transfer rights, remain unaffected.
Initial activation verifies the serial with our backend and saves a signed receipt on your Mac. Eligible versions remain licensed offline without periodic online checks. Deactivate an installation in the app when retiring or replacing a Mac. The licence page can release an activation if the Mac is lost; stop using the retired installation. Backend deactivation cannot remotely erase a receipt on a Mac that stays offline.
4. Updates and trial
Updates first released during the 365 days after purchase are included. You may keep using those eligible versions after the update period ends. Later paid upgrades require a separate offer and your explicit purchase; no renewal is automatic. The free trial permits review and project saving but no export. An activation for an ineligible newer version does not extend the included upgrade period.
5. Requirements and scope
Check the current system requirements and try the app with representative media before ordering. Processing is local. Full delivery encoding requires a separate compatible FFmpeg and FFprobe installation. Some codecs and formats are subject to their own licences. Supported workflows are SDR; HDR and linear material require a colour-managed finish.
You decide the provenance of the material, disclosure obligations, shot boundaries, artwork, placement and export settings. Shotlabel and its local model do not certify legal compliance, determine AI origin, provide legal advice or create machine-readable provenance credentials. Retain source backups and review every delivered file.
6. Rights, support and defects
You retain rights to your media and outputs. Open-source components and model weights retain their respective licences, listed in the app and on Open source; those rights are not restricted by this licence. Contact [email protected] for activation help and defects. No response-time service level is promised. Statutory rights for defects apply.
7. Liability and governing law
We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, fraud, guarantees and mandatory statutory liability. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to foreseeable loss typical of this contract; otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. For merchants, legal entities under public law and special funds under public law, the agreed place of jurisdiction is Hamburg, insofar as legally permitted. Mandatory rules remain unaffected.
